Land dedication for Sacred Settlement Open Door.

by the Settled Team

On June 29, 2025, Church of the Open Door in Maple Grove, Minnesota, joined hands with volunteers, church members, and supporters from across the Twin Cities to dedicate the land that will host twelve tiny homes for people who have experienced chronic homelessness.

This sacred act was more than a ceremony—it was a reminder of what truly matters. As ribbons were tied to each future homesite and prayers were lifted for the lives that will be nurtured there, the community reflected on the gift of presence, surrender, and ordinary spaces becoming holy ground.

Sacred Settlement Open Door is a vision of God’s heart in action: ordinary church property transformed into a sanctuary of dignity, hope, and belonging. It’s a place where lives once overlooked can be welcomed as neighbors, where human hearts and sacred spaces meet, and where the broader church walks alongside those in need.

This project invites everyone to participate—through prayer, volunteer work, and support—to help create a community where every home is a place of healing and every life is valued.
