A radical calling.

by the Settled Team

“Who is my neighbor?” This question from the parable of the Good Samaritan guides everything we do at Settled. Our neighbors have often experienced profound loss—loss of family, community, and belonging. At Settled, we believe the church has a role to play in changing that story. The local church has an opportunity to step in and offer not just housing, but a place to be seen, valued, and loved.

This video is a short but powerful introduction to the vision that guides everything we do—our hearts for this work. Our Sacred Settlement leadership describe their intentional, permanent tiny home communities where neighbors experiencing homelessness live alongside Intentional Neighbors, forming families and a sense of home. It’s not a temporary stop or a deadline to change—it’s a space to rest, heal, and be known. As our founder says, “There is no other; there is only us.”

Sacred Settlements remind us that homelessness is about more than a lack of housing. It’s about connection, community, and belonging. By inviting the outcasts of society home, churches and neighbors alike become part of a story of redemption, hope, and tangible love in action.
